Independent filmmaker

Max Cantor is an independent filmmaker in New York. His work has appeared in Vogue, GQ, NPR, PBS, and the New York Times. His most recent narrative short film, Birding, screened at the Palm Springs International Shortfest. He is currently directing a documentary on the composer Charles Strouse (Annie, Bye Bye Birdie) and is developing a narrative feature film he has written and plans to direct.
