Megan Smith

Megan Smith is a realtor and sells life insurance and annuities. She has worked in sales and commission jobs for several years because she is outgoing and loves working with people.

Last June Megan and her fiancée Lindsey started a nonprofit organization called TN Marriage Equality to educate and advocate for the LGBT community. They travel across the state gaining signatures on a petition to repeal Tennessee's Amendment 1 (which can also be found online here).

Last August Megan and Lindsey applied for a marriage license. Since being rejected, they have been in touch with a law office about a suit against the state of Tennessee.

They have also worked with Freedom to Marry and Causes and have helped Chattanooga in its fight for domestic partner benefits.
