Michael Skelly

Michael Skelly is a wind energy businessman and candidate for Congress. He helped build Horizon Wind Energy into a multi-billion dollar operation, the third largest wind power company in the country. By the end of the year it will provide enough electricity to meet the needs of nearly one million homes. He serves on Houston Mayor Bill White's Green Building Advisory Committee, is a longtime member of the board of the American Wind Energy Association, and has served on the boards of several other nonprofits and companies. In 2008, he was named Wind Industry Person of the Year by the AWEA. He lives in Houston with his wife, Anne, and their three children.
