Miran Youn

Miran is a Korean-American student currently attending Oakton High School, and her family moved to United States in 2003. Due to her interest in language, she learned English very quickly and is considering to major philosophy and education in college. Her current GPA is 4.0, she is a member of the National Honors Society, officer of the Oakton Korean Student Association, a member of I.B team, and a volunteer at the Good Spoon organization. She has a strong passion for music and owns a personal recording studio. Her Christianity determines morals of her life; she participates in many church activities and sings at church events very often. Her most memorable event in life includes going on a mission trip to Ecuador and surviving racism in American school.
