Gold Medalist, 200-Meter Butterfly, 2000 Olympic Games
Misty Hyman is swim coach at the award-winning Sanctuary on Camelback Mountain in Scottsdale, Ariz. In 2000, Hyman earned a gold medal in the Sydney Olympics’ 200-meter butterfly –- a remarkable underdog victory that is still talked about in competitive swimming circles. She was inducted into the Arizona Sports Hall of Fame in 2012. Working with the Sanctuary Spa fitness team, she now leads compelling motivational programs, such as the Triathlon Prep Program, and offers personal instruction to resort guests and spa members.
