Moises Rendon

Associate Director, Center for Strategic and International Studies Americas Program

Moises Rendon is associate director and associate fellow of the CSIS Americas Program, where he provides analysis on a range of public policy issues in Latin America. His research focuses on Latin American states in transition, trade and investment, governance and transparency, and U.S. foreign policy toward Latin America, with particular emphasis on Venezuela, his native country. He also advises on the strategic direction of program activities. Prior to CSIS, he worked as a legal analyst with Banco Occidental de Descuento, a prominent commercial bank in Venezuela. Mr. Rendon holds an LL.M. from Georgetown University Law Center, with a concentration in international business and economic law, and a bachelor of laws (J.D. equivalent) from Andres Bello Catholic University (UCAB) in Caracas. He is a contributor to El Nacional, El Periodiquito (Venezuela), and CapX (England).
