Monique LeFors Edmondson

Senior Manager for IT Talent Strategy at Cisco

As Senior Manager for IT Talent Strategy and Onboarding, Monique has been instrumental in transforming these spaces into best-in-class, highly visible company initiatives. Under Edmondson’s leadership, the IT University Program has become the benchmark within Cisco for recruiting, retaining, and growing new college hires and interns. In partnership with Human Resources, she created the vision and plan for IT Talent Strategy with a strong foundational team structure, and establish the pillars for success and agility to help propel IT talent as a competitive differentiator. This also includes on-boarding and people integration activities for IT employees coming in through acquisitions. She is the lead for Inclusion and Diversity for IT and has a special role as co-lead of Cisco’s San Jose Connected Women’s chapter organization. Monique joined Cisco in 2001, where she worked for four years in Sales IT on infrastructure and application development for the Asia Pacific region. She transitioned into Sales Operations and worked directly with the field supporting go-to-market strategies. She was responsible for the first global deployment of the sales coverage tool, and brought all Cisco’s theaters together to define and implement a consistent approach for global account planning. After five years in Sales, Edmondson returned to IT as a business operations manager, and later expanded her responsibilities to oversee Cisco on Cisco content creation, events, and social media in the IT Customer Strategy and Success organization. She has a degree in Management Information Systems from California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo.
