Naima Mora, who is best known for winning Cycle 4 of America's Next Top Model, debuted β€œNaima Mora Model Behavior,” her first book (iTunes ebook and print edition coming December 2012) as part of her new Model Life Series - hoping to inspire others to recognize their true potential and achieve their hopes and dreams. This book shares inspiring inside stories and perspectives from Naima (audio also) on topics from living consciously, overcoming adversity, healthy living (eating, skin care, lifestyle choices), and pursuing your dreams regardless of the challenges.



She has also been the face of Sheer Cover Mineral Make Up, Split Clothing and Samsung. Her television experience includes frequent guest cameos on The Tyra Banks Show, judging Miss Teen USA, guest appearance on the season 2 premier of Veronica Mars, and as the heart throb of TV on the Radio's "Wolf Like Me" music video. She also walked for Bravo's Project Runway Finale 2008 for Joe Farris's collection. Other notable fashion shows that Mora has walked for include "Elle Girl Presents: Dare to Be You," Christopher Deane, Richie Rich, Carlos Miele and Gharani Strok. Naima has shot the covers of reputable fashion magazines such as Vicious, Cover, B.L.A.C., Modern Salon, H Mag, Mami, U+U, Uzuri, and the two-part special hard cover release of Luxe Knits. She has also shot spreads for Teen People, Ambassador, Corduroy, Metro Pop, Fuego, Latina, Inked, US Weekly, Intouch, Radaar, and Jewel. She is also featured in Nigel Barker's book "The Beauty Equation."



Naima is from Detroit, Michigan, and is the daughter of African American, talented jazz vocalist and entrepreneur Theresa Mora & Mexican jazz percussionist Francisco Mora Catlett. Her paternal grandparents are painter Francisco Mora and sculptress, painter and printmaker Elizabeth Catlett. She was named after the John Coltrane song Naima.



In 2006, she wrapped up filming on an independent film called Sarbanes-Oxley and is currently also writing music and fronting the band "Galaxy of Tar," working in between her music and modeling career on her next book of her Model Life Series, Model Citizens β„’, a collection of real life fan stories, inspiration and support on the topics her fans and readers deal with every day.
