Philip Gates

Philip Gates is a director and performer living in Brooklyn. He is the artistic director of Lunar Energy, with whom he directed christopher marlowe's chloroform dreams (The Red Room), like the night (The Tank), and Before Placing Me On Your Shelf, his adaptation of poems by James Tate (Manhattan Theatre Source, FringeNYC). Philip is a founding member of the Islesford Theater Project in Maine (performer, The Glass Menagerie, Babbitt, Prufrock Variations; director, Savage/Love, MASTODON JUAN). He recently assisted David Adjmi on his plays 3C (Rattlestick Playwrights Theater) and Marie Antoinette (American Repertory Theater).
