Rebecca Saldaña

Rebecca Saldaña has served as the Executive Director of Puget Sound Sage since 2014. Previously, she served Sage as the Deputy Director and Program Director leading Sage’s equitable development and community benefits program and launching the South Communities Organizing for Racial/Regional Equity coalition. Rebecca brings 16 years of experience in public speaking and coalition organizing across faith, labor and community sectors for worker and immigrant advocacy, food justice, women’s rights, racial equity, civic engagement, affordable housing, transit equity and equitable development. Before joining Sage, Rebecca served as the Community Liaison for Congressman Jim McDermott. She also was an organizer with SEIU Local 6, the United Farm Workers, and Oregon's farmworker union, PCUN. Currently, Rebecca serves on the King County Accountable Communities of Health Interim Leadership Council, the boards of the Fair Work Center, Alliance for Clean Energy & Jobs, and the national Partnership for Working Families. This Seattle Chicana, born of Mexican and Germanic roots, holds leadership certificates from the Harvard Kennedy School and the National Hispana Leadership Institute, and is a current Ms. Foundation Public Voices Fellow through OpEd Project.
