Dr. Richard N. Gioioso is Assistant Professor of Political Science at Saint Joseph’s University in Philadelphia, PA, where he is affiliated faculty with both the International Relations and Latin American Studies programs. He teaches various classes, including Contemporary Cuban Politics and Society, Global Political Economy, and International Migration. He has worked extensively as a researcher in the U.S. and abroad. Areas of focus include Latin American immigration to the U.S., trust and civic participation among Latinos in the U.S., and economic reforms and social change in Cuba.
