Rosa A. Hopkins

Rosa A. Hopkins was raised in a suburb between Baltimore and Annapolis, called Pasadena, MD. She later moved to the hills of WV, where her heart was to forever stay. She married her high school sweetheart but later divorced him when the marriage proved tumultuous. After a brief stayed in a homeless shelter, they reconciled their relationship and were remarried. Still, they were anything but happy. In 2008 Rosa heard a gospel message which would forever change her life. The message was that Jesus came to save the weak and the lost, the poor and the sinful and that He did so by paying our debt for us when He gave His life on Calvary. She had never heard that she was a sinner before. She immediately repented and gave my life to Jesus. And He restored their marriage and she began to write songs -- over 1,000 to date. She became a singer and player of the guitar, mandolin, banjo, ukulele, fiddle, harmonica, and some piano. Her first album released in 2014 and was released to radio. Her Christmas album released the following year to radio airplay as well. And in 2015, 15 years after Joe and Rosa first said, 'I do', their miracle child, Joy was born. And these are just the highlights. Rosa is now the co-host of a radio show on WDZY, Richmond, VA WEMM in Huntington, WV, and is the co-owner of Great Commission Records.
