Ruth Eglash

Journalist

Ruth Eglash is a writer and journalist based in Jerusalem. She is currently a correspondent for The Washington Post covering Israel and the Palestinian territories.

She was previously Deputy Managing Editor and Social Media Editor at The Jerusalem Post, where she also reported on social welfare and cultural stories for the paper.

In the past, Ruth has also freelanced for USA Today, Christian Science Monitor, The Jewish Chronicle in London, The Jewish Week in New York, the Israel Press Service and the Wisconsin Jewish Chronicle, where she was Assistant Editor in the late 1990s.

Born and raised in London, England, Ruth spent three years at Trinity and All Saints College, Leeds University where she obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Public Media and History.
