Steve Kallick directs Pew's international lands conservation program. He currently he oversees the International Boreal Conservation campaign and the Outback Australia project, and conducts research into wilderness conservation issues worldwide. An expert in forest and wilderness conservation policy, Kallick has designed and launched several high-profile environmental initiatives for Pew, including the Heritage Forests Campaign, the Theodore Roosevelt Conservation Partnership, and the Northeast Land Trust Consortium. Prior to joining Pew in 1997, Kallick worked for conservation organizations and government in Alaska. Kallick holds both a J.D and a certificate in Natural Resources Policy from the Northwestern School of Law at Lewis and Clark College in Portland, Oregon.
