Salman Al-Azami

A linguist with keen interest in religion, media, politics, and sports

Dr Salman Al-Azami holds a PhD in Linguistics and is a Senior Lecturer in English Language at Liverpool Hope University. He previously taught at Edge Hill University and worked as a researcher at Goldsmiths, University of London. Dr Al-Azami has published widely on bilingualism and language in education, and has organised an international conference on religion in the media. He writes on language, politics, and media in several online platforms. Dr Al-Azami's latest book 'Religion in the Media: A Linguistic Analysis' (Palgrave Macmillan) is now available on hardback.
