Sandra Diaz is the Carolinas Campaign Coordinator for Appalachian Voices, which is working to protect the land, air and water of the central and southern Appalachian region. Since the entire lifecycle of coal is the single biggest environmental threat to the Appalachians and the Southeast, she works to inspire the political will through grassroots campaigns to help shift the Southeast away from coal-powered electricity towards a cleaner energy future.
