Sasha de Vogel received her M.A. in Russian and Eastern European Regional Studies at the Harriman Institute at Columbia University in 2013. She is managing editor of The Journal of Globalization and Development and publications manager of Columbia's Committee on Global Thought and the Initiative for Policy Dialogue, both led by Joseph Stiglitz. She has lived and worked in St. Petersburg, Russia and received her B.A. summa cum laude from Columbia in Slavic Studies in 2009. She has appeared on BBC News and NPR's The Leonard Lopate Show.
