Scott Gardner

Research Academic in Comics and Religion at Hartford Seminary, Connecticut

Scott Gardner is a research academic for Hartford Seminary and a member of Sacred and Sequential--Scholars exploring the intersection of Comics and Religion. The need to engage popular culture and the divine has become a passion for him as he works with young people wrestling with faith.

He has worked in ministry as a lay-youth pastor for the Seventh-day Adventist church and as a workplace chaplain for the United Auto Workers. He also speaks and lectures around New England, talking to young adults about the challenges of faith.

Scott holds a B.A. from Atlantic Union College in Religion and currently pursuing a M.A.R from Hartford Seminary in Biblical Studies.
