Scott Burns is an experienced investment professional with a focus on widening access to financial services. Since serving in the Peace Corps in Kazakhstan - where he grew a local non-profit organization to financial sustainability and taught economics at a regional university - he has worked in finance-related roles, from advising a major Indian retail bank to consulting on financing clean energy projects. As an investment manager in Russia, he deployed commitments from an Eastern European-focused private equity fund and contributed on the boards of several logistics companies. More recently he built an emerging markets-focused business line within a major European energy consulting firm (part of the DNV Group). He is a CFA charterholder and has a graduate degree from the Harvard Kennedy School of Government, in International Development.
