Stephanie Harnett

Stephanie Harnett is a recent graduate of the University of Southern California’s Annenberg School for Communication, where she studied print journalism and history. She’s spent the last nine months as an editorial assistant at the Los Angeles Times and a production assistant for the KTLA midday newscast. She’s also helped to launch an online news source for the neighborhoods of South Los Angeles, an area historically neglected by the mainstream press. In addition, she’s had seven years of teaching experience with a diverse range of students, from fifth graders in an over-crowded inner-city elementary school’s cafeteria to businesswomen in Budapest learning English for the first time. In August she will move to Singapore to teach history in a public secondary school. She will also lead the school’s student newspaper.
