Susan Murphy

Susan Murphy was the Founder and Director (2002-2009) of Canopy Studio, an Aerial Dance, Movement Education and Performance Center in Athens, GA. She was Guest Artist with the University of Georgia Dance Dept. (1999-2002). She was a licensed massage therapist in New York state, is a Certified Movement Analyst from the Laban Institute of Movement Studies in NYC and holds a Master’s Degree in Modern Dance from Mills College in Oakland, CA. She
and her husband, Don Carson, live on a tidal creek on the coast of south GA. At present, Susan teaches workshops and performs aerial dance around the country. (www.authenticaerial.com)
