Teresa Garza

Teresa Garza es originaria de Monterrey, México. Tiene más de una década de vivir en los Estados Unidos. Graduada de la Universidad de Monterrey en la Licenciatura en Ciencias de la Comunicación y con estudios de Maestría, Garza ha ejercido sus conocimientos en el área de la comunicación como Presentadora de Televisión, Reportera, Escritora, Editora, Productora y Directora de Noticias.

Su pasión definitivamente es el cine. Su vida gira alrededor del Séptimo Arte, mas aun desde que se mudó de Texas a la llamada “Meca del Cine”. Ha dirigido un cortometraje y participando como actriz, guionista y apoyo en proyectos independiente.

En esta nueva etapa, Teresa se ha lanzado a la aventura de reunir los conocimientos adquiridos y explorar el mundo de las redes sociales, como una alternativa para expresar sus ideas, su creatividad, sus conocimientos, su punto de vista. Así nace: checalamovie.net un Blog de cine totalmente en Español y desde Hollywood. Teresa Garza es una Bloguera Latina.

Ganadora del Premio: "Favorite Entertainment Blog" otorgado por Blogs by Latinas Awards 2011. Panelista en las ediciones 2011 y 2012 de "Hispanicize". Latinos in Social Media (LATISM) reconoció la labor de TEresa Garza como una de las "Top Latina Bloggers 2012" basado en su influencia, calidad de contenido y habilidad para crear comunidad a través de su Blog. Originally from Monterrey, Mexico, Teresa Garza has been living in the U.S. for more than a decade. With a Bachelor of Arts in Communication Sciences from the prestigious Universidad de Monterrey, she is currently working on her Masters degree. Garza has utilized her skills and knowledge of the Communications/Multimedia field in several positions, including Anchor, Field Reporter, Writer, Editor, Producer and News Director.

She has also honed her skills and developed a career as an actress. She does her best to share her passion for this beautiful art form with the world, even more so lately after making the move from Texas to the renowned “Mecca of Film” that is Los Angeles. Throughout her career she has been involved in directing, screenwriting, acting and producing several short films.

During this new chapter in her life, she has dedicated herself to use the best of both her professional worlds to explore the world of “Blogging” and social networking to further express and share her love for the art of film. As a result, checalamovie.net was born, a Spanish-language blog from Hollywood written by Teresa Garza from a Latina perspective.

Latinos in Social Media (LATISM) has recognized Teresa Garza as one of the 2012 Top Latina Bloggers based on her influence, content quality and ability to build community throug her blog.
