Terra Trevor is a widely published writer and author of a diverse body of work and a contributing author of 10 books, including The People Who Stayed: Southeastern Indian Writing After Removal and Children of the Dragonfly: Native American Voices On Child Custody and Education. Her memoir, Pushing up the Sky, is widely anthologized. She was born into a mixed blood family of Cherokee, Delaware, Seneca and German descent, and was raised in a verbal tradition rich with storytelling.
