Born in California with roots in Colorado and Oklahoma, Terra Trevor is a widely published writer and author of a diverse body of work, and a contributing author of 10 books, including The People Who Stayed: Southeastern Indian Writing After Removal and Children of the Dragonfly: Native American Voices On Child Custody and Education. Her work has appeared in numerous magazines, anthologies, literary journals and online. She was raised in a mixed blood family of Cherokee, Delaware, Seneca and German descent, in a verbal tradition rich with storytelling, and is happiest near water.
