Born in California with roots in Colorado and Oklahoma, Terra Trevor is a widely published writer and author of a diverse body of work, and a contributing author of 10 books, including The People Who Stayed: Southeastern Indian Writing After Removal and Children of the Dragonfly: Native American Voices On Child Custody and Education. Her work has appeared in numerous magazines, anthologies, literary journals and online. She is of mixed blood Cherokee, Delaware, Seneca and German descent, and was raised in a verbal tradition rich with storytelling, and is happiest near water.
