Terry Hunt

Terry Hunt received his MA in music in 1988 from the University of Denver's Lamont School of Music. He lived in Japan for 1 ½ years where he developed a passion for photography and visual arts. Upon returning to the states he moved to the small mountain town of Twisp Washington
(population 940) where he has resided with his wife Pam for the past 20 years while raising a family. In that time he has won awards for his music compositions which include works for Choir and Orchestra, a violin sonata, a piano trio, a guitar concerto and tunes for jazz combo. He and his wife founded a successful non profit music school. He has produced several documentary films and runs a video website featuring happenings in the small community where he lives. Terry collects found objects, mostly reclaimed metal from the old irrigation ditches and currently has a show of this work at a local pub. He also paints on plywood recycled from building projects. His interest in art and photography leans toward the abstract finding interesting and beautiful subjects in everyday places. Terry finds that living in a small town allows him the freedom to pursue a variety of artistic disciplines without being pigeon holed.
