"Wake Up Your Potential"

Julia Hu -- CEO and founder
Having been too often sleep-deprived and woken up at unearthly hours, Julia's goal is to make people happier with better sleep. As a serial entrepreneur, she has focused on growing early stage startups in the consumer products and cleantech space. Prior to LARK, she was National Sustainability Chair for global startup incubator Clean Tech Open, where she launched a National Sustainability Program to help hundreds of cleantech startups all over America. She also ran international marketing in China for consumer products startup D.light Design.

She received her Masters and Bachelors at Stanford and has half of a MBA from MIT Sloan (a dropout, but they're nice enough to include her as a case study and speaker).

Jon Liang -- Technical Lead
Jon built the software platform for LARK and now manages the technical team.Prior to joining Lark, Jon was the technical cofounder for mobile advertising exchange Mobclix. He helped to build the engineering team and directed research efforts on the applications of sensors in portable consumer devices. He grew the company into the industry's largest mobile ad exchange network before Mobclix was acquired by international mobile marketing company Velti in September of 2010.

Alvin Lacson -- VP of Hardware, Co-founder
Alvin specializes in building digital communications systems and has spearheaded the development of LARK's wireless technologies and its integration with firmware and software. As an electrical systems engineer, he used to design massive solar manufacturing technologies and processes. Alvin graduated Cum Laude in Electrical Engineering at Cal Poly.

Lily Cheng -- Creative Director
Lily loves helping people change their habits, and has wiped sleep deprivation from everyone she meets. Working with LARK's sleep experts, Lily is the creative visionary in translating science into LARK's Personal Sleep Coach.

Her expertise is in design thinking research, customer insights and persuasive technology. Before signing on, she led communication and creative efforts in Stanford's Persuasive Technology Lab, where she consulted organizations on how to design for behavior change. She has also spent time consulting for Silicon Valley start-ups, building partnerships for Google Earth and understanding emerging energy trends in the Asia-Pacific. She received her Bachelor's and Master's of Science from Stanford University.

Andrew Hershberger -- Software Engineer
Andrew brings his expertise in UX and mobile development to LARK. Prior to joining the team, he worked at Apple and as a teaching assistant for Stanford's introductory course on human-computer interaction design in which students develop mobile web apps for iOS. He has a MS from Stanford in Computer Science Department where he specialized in human-computer interaction. He also holds a BSE from Case Western Reserve University where he studied electrical engineering and participated in research on haptic interfaces.

Andrew Liu -- Software Engineer
Andrew is Lark's Android developer, working on bringing Lark to the ever-growing platform. He worked at Google out of college, but soon set out to contribute to exciting field of mobile development. Andrew graduated from Stanford with a degree in Biomedical Computation.

Jenny Quan -- Marketing & Ops
Jenny spent nearly a decade as a curriculum designer (aka teacher), before making a full transition to freelance design and marketing. As a certified web developer and a self-taught graphic designer, Jenny has created multimedia projects and websites for wedding, corporate, and university clients. At LARK, Jenny drives marketing and website development. Jenny graduated summa cum laude with a masters degree in East Asian Studies from UCLA.

Shannon McClenaghan -- Senior Executive
Shannon manages the finances, operations, and "Special Ops" projects of LARK. She is a serial entrepreneur and successful leader of early stage companies. She has over 15 years of experience with branded consumer product and technology companies. She has repeatedly demonstrated her ability to help companies aggressively scale and raise capital while maintaining a sharp focus on bottom-line results.

Most recently as CFO and President, Shannon helped build Jimmyjane into a leading international lifestyle brand with over 7 iconic design awards and a broad IP portfolio of design and utility patents. She built a high performance team, resulting in 5 years of consistent YOY revenue growth. Prior to joining Jimmyjane, Shannon spent a few years as an interim executive and consultant for high-growth branded consumer companies as well as for angel and institutional investors. After starting her career and practicing as an attorney with Preston Gates & Ellis, Shannon co-founded Vectiv Corporation, a leading SaaS business for large retail companies. Employed by Fortune 500 companies including Apple, Best Buy and Home Depot, Vectiv's store lifecycle management solution enabled clients to improve profits, optimize real estate assets and deploy capital more intelligently.

Liam Casey -- CEO of PCH International
Liam Casey launched the PCH Accelerator to bring hardware startups to market and chose LARK as their inaugural project.Liam Casey is the founder and Chief Executive Officer of PCH International. PCH creates, develops and delivers the world's best technology products for the world's best brands. The company is a leader in the accessories market for smartphones, eReaders and tablets, and employs 1,200 people in China, Ireland, UK, US, and South Africa. PCH reported revenues of US$152.6 million in 2009, and 2010 revenues of US$413 million. Liam is widely recognized as a thought leader on international trade and business in China. He developed a unique end-to-end integrated supply chain solution, including product design through to a fulfillment business that offers customers the longest global reach with the leanest supply chain inventories. Awarded Ernst & Young's Entrepreneur of the Year - Ireland accolade in 2007, Liam is a frequent guest speaker at corporate leadership conferences, university forums, trade shows, Asia and Ireland-focused business forums, and investment group events.

Mark Barden -- Partner of Eat Big Fish
As LARK's marketing guru, Mark pushes LARK towards taking on challenges everyday. Mark Barden hails from the U.K but has lived in the US since 1993. He has now gone native, having married one of the locals. He lives in Larkspur, Marin Co., just north of San Francisco with his wife Doris and daughters Cleo and Josie. He has over twenty years experience in marketing and advertising, on both the client and agency sides of the business, helping to create and build some of the most famous brands in the world, including Guinness, Nike, Yahoo! and Saturn. He has started his own ad agency, helped take a company public, won an award for the best direct-response TV commercial in America, and run focus groups in thirty-two of the fifty states of America. Mark is a skillful facilitator - adept at helping teams work together to create genuinely breakthrough thinking. He is also a popular speaker and has given a wide variety of speeches on Challengers and other marketing and culture issues.

Ronald Ho -- Product Manager at Google
Ronald advises Product Management at LARK and has the pleasure of working with the high-energy LARK team members. Ronald is currently a Product Manager at Google, leading exciting products such as Google Spreadsheets and Mobile Docs. At Google he's also a tireless champion of having Google Apps be the agent for change and collaboration in the education space and gives talks at various education conferences. Prior to Google, he's held internship stints at Microsoft, Citigroup and Lockheed Martin. He loves brainstorming new start-up ideas. And of course he loves sleep and certainly doesn't get enough of it. (He's classified as a "Weekend Sleep Junkie"!)
