Currently working in Global Health, on Neglected Tropical Diseases, Thoko Elphick-Pooley is heading up the support centre for Uniting to Combat NTDs, a coordination hub for the London Declaration on NTDs, funded by the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation and hosted by Sightsavers. Uniting to Combat NTDs is a unique and powerful coalition of global health institutions, pharmaceutical companies, NGOs, philanthropic organisations, donor countries and the governments of countries in which NTDs are endemic, working together to end the suffering caused by Neglected tropical diseases and affecting more than a billion of the poorest people on the planet.
