Timothy Kennel Shenk

Timothy Kennel Shenk is a New York City-based writer on religious and humanitarian issues. His spiritual roots are in the pacifist tradition of Anabaptist Christianity. As a practicing Mennonite with broad international experience, he brings a unique perspective to the ethical dimensions of foreign policy.

Shenk has worked as a writer for two faith-based humanitarian organizations, Mennonite Central Committee and Church World Service. In 2011 he completed a master's degree in international affairs from Columbia University's School of International and Public Affairs with a concentration in human rights. Shenk has conducted research and writing assignments in more than two dozen countries.
