Director/Producer, 'Killing the Messenger'
Tricia Todd is a Los Angeles based director and producer.
She just finished her most recent film, Killing The Messenger: The Deadly Cost of News. In this feature length documentary journalists reporting from Mexico, Russia and the conflict zones of Iraq, Afghanistan and Syria tell their personal stories of kidnapping, intimidation, and beatings.
With Eric Matthies she co-directed Agile, Mobile, Hostile: A Year with Andre Williams,(SXSW premiere) about an underground rock legend’s struggle with fame and addiction. Declared “Tragic & Triumphant” by Documentary Film Channel, Agile… was officially selected for AFI Film Festival, NXNE Film Festival, Noisepop and the Chicago International Film Festival. Tricia’s other work includes the inspiring short form documentary, Ayamye*, a film about bicycles as sustainable, empowering transportation in rural villages in Ghana which was nominated for the Social Justice Fund at the Santa Barbara Film Festival in 2007.
