Valerie L. Dodson

Valerie L. Dodson was born in New York, and attended City College of NY as a nursing student. Toward the end of her three years of study, she determined that nursing was not her calling. She began ministering at her local church where she was invited to do her internship in a small town church in Louisiana. In 1983 she moved to Louisiana, were she served as Assistant Pastor for three years. She conducted Evangelist meetings, tents and church crusades throughout the South for six years.

In 1987 she moved to Mississippi to continue her ministry training and remained there as Associate Minister of a local body in Columbus MS. She completed her education at the Mississippi University for Women and obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting. She worked in a law firm there as a staff accountant retiring in 2002.

While working in her own accounting service, she was invited to work in a publishing firm, Genesis Press Inc. where she discovered a love for writing. In 2008 her first book was published by Genesis Press: A Voice behind Thunder under the pen name Carrie Elizabeth Greene. The book was purchased by Black Expressions in 2008. Presently, Ms. Greene is working on her second novel The Table is Spread which is expected to be released later this year.
Her second book titled Don’t Delay Your Increase: A Spiritual and Practical Guide to Giving was published by Urban Christian Books in 2009 under her name Valerie L. Dodson.

Ms. Dodson, is a proud mother of two sons Jonathan N. Beckett, of Augusta GA. and Master Sergeant Paul L. Beckett, USAF Sacramento, CA.

Currently, she is Founder and Pastor of the Adorning Grace Ministries where she holds daily bible study and midnight prayer services via conference line. Her vision is to utilize all sources of media, internet and publications to preach and teach the word of God.
