Wayne White is from Chattanooga,Tennessee. He worked in television production for 25 years, designing sets and puppets for children shows, rock videos and commercials. He won three Emmys for his designs for Pee-wee's Playhouse. He is currently a painter and a sculptor. In 2012, a documentary, "Beauty is Embarrassing" was released, chronicling his life and times. He lives in LA with his wife, cartoonist and writer, Mimi Pond.
