House Republicans Channel Newt Gingrich's "Snub"

digg Share this on Facebook Huffpost - stumble reddit del.ico.us RSS

So the House Republican leaders say they didn't support the bailout because Nancy Pelosi's speech hurt their feelings.

Shades of Newt Gingrich shutting down the government back back in the 90's because he felt snubbed by Bill Clinton:

From, if you please, Tom Delay, in his tome, No Retreat, No Surrender:

"[Gingrich] told a room full of reporters that he forced the shutdown because Clinton had rudely made him and Bob Dole sit at the back of Air Force One...Newt had been careless to say such a thing, and now the whole moral tone of the shutdown had been lost. What had been a noble battle for fiscal sanity began to look like the tirade of a spoiled child...."

Spoiled children indeed. And the fish spoils from the head, don't it.

It not American's who are a bunch of whiners, as Phil Gramm suggests.....Nope, just Republicans.

They broke it, and now realize they don't have the knowledge to fix it. It's called government....yup, goverment is the solution, not the problem......Republicans are in denial.

Vote Democrat in November.

Ever since Reagan it seems that the Republican Party has been lowering the bar, and trying to convince people that they ought to elect legislators who are just like them; people with whom they would like to have a beer.
Here's a clue. If you would have no idea how to dig our economy out of this hole, then you don't want somebody just like you to try it, either.
If you don't have the strength of character to put your personal feelings aside in order to do the right thing for the country, you don't want somebody just like you in office.

Here's an idea. If you are a Republican voter who voted for one of these petulant children, invite them to your house for that beer RIGHT NOW. Promise them chips and barbecue, whatever it takes to get them in your living room and OUT OF WASHINGTON. They really need to be OUT OF WASHINGTON. They need to get it done, or get out of Washington.

Soon, many won't be able to afford a beer.

Sad day for us on Main Street when our elected officals put the political careers before the interest of main street...Amazing..

Insignificant "men" with insignificant genitalia....always get their feelings hurt. I am convinced the Republican party is about as insecure as a12 y/o girl.
"Lipstick on a pig-gate"
McCain shutting out the media.
The audacity of a Liberal actually having the gaul to punch back.
The list is endless....
Next time "you" get in a debate with "these" people. Take a hard look. There is a level of fear and insecurity there that reeks.

Cantor is a whiner.
They ALL are whiners.

Immature bunch of boys with no toys left to play with.
Can't take responsibility for their own ideological hidebound minions.

At least Boehner didn't burst into tears on the floor...almost, but not quite...

Whiners.
