Pacific Standard Time Performance and Public Art Festival

Continuing through the 29th, this festival celebrates Los Angeles' postwar history of performance art through a contemporary lens, with a series of adaptations, re-inventions, and commissions that are inspired by the installation and performance artists working in Los Angeles between 1945 and 1980. Each night from 8 p.m.-2 a.m., Black Box will be the place to meet, drink, talk, and enjoy different surprise performances. Download the official guide here. Suzanne Lacy's "Three Weeks in January" culminates with a candle-lighting ceremony and participatory performance at the site of Lacy's Los Angeles Rape Map -- a large map installed in downtown L.A. with daily markings of LAPD rape reports. Follow @meredithahudson for live tweets from the ceremony.
