Bring a piece of gold (jewelry, coinage, dental fillings) to Redling Fine Art from May 31-June 16 where one of their representatives will photograph, measure and weigh the piece. The price for your surrogate will be set at 125 percent the days trading value of gold plus a small fee. Then Liz Glynn will make a paper trash replica of your jewelry, and it will then be memorialized in Bronze and plated in 24 karat gold. Finally, your surrogate will arrive at your door in 4-6 weeks.

Opening Day of a new exhibition by Los Angeles-based multimedia artist Sharon Lockhart, who considers the legacy of Noa Eshkol, the Israeli dance composer, theorist, and textile artist who created a notation system capable of describing every perceptible movement of the body. Conceived as a two-person exhibition, "Sharon Lockhart | Noa Eshkol" presents Eshkol's achievements through a new five-channel film installation, a series of photographs, and a selection of Eshkol's carpets, scores, and archival drawings. The exhibition was designed by Los Angeles-based architects Frank Escher and Ravi GuneWardena. On view through September 9, 2012.
