This Is What a Fierce Advocate Looks Like

Posted: Updated:

Argentina is the latest country to consider same-sex marriage rights: the legislature is set to debate the issue today. President Cristina Fernandez de Kirchner supports the legislation and gave this interview to a Chinese news crew while visiting the country on a diplomatic mission.

Note how she stands up against the Catholic Church -- a huge influence in South America -- for inciting religious violence and discrimination. President Obama, however, doesn't support full marriage equality and has given anti-gay religious leaders prominent roles at his events to try and win religious right support at the polls.

I'd say this is what a fierce advocate looks like. Thanks to Andrés at Blabbeando for the translated video.
