I don't know. I'm a fan of the good old station wagon. I have always thought that the PT Cruiser was dumb, unless they had added about 2 - 3 ft. for cargo, then I might have considered buying one!
seriously....come on man that thing is a roach. Granted I'm not above "different". I have an 03'(that's right first year, when everybody was afraid to get one) Element with 127k. But a PT...yak
I have been an admirer of Bill Maher since Politically Incorrect and have written many letters on his behalf when the ignorant press came down so hard on his Freedom of Speech. Just saw his new film and was riveted by his knowledge, sensitivity and quest to define and explore other belief systems.
If someone is offended by this " New Rule", who cares? If it makes you react in anyway, Bravo to Bill.
Here's what should cause a stir in public opinion: G.W. Bush is getting paid to make a speech about his "momentous years in the White House" for a very nice chunk of change. I guess his follower's
still have money left to pay while he stumbles with the English language and continues to defend his 8 years of shame.
Maher has consistently given me the Truth, intellectual stimulation and the gift of laughier when life feels dire and hopeless.
New Rule: Sages comes in different guises. If you don't get Bill, there are probably seats left for W's gig and Rush's will always keep you covered.
Anyone Else See Lee Iacocca Die This Weekend ...In Watchmen?
If you saw Watchmen this weekend, you saw Chrysler chairman Lee Iacocca gunned down in Ozymandias' lobby in an alt-universe 1985. It wasn't the only automotive tip-o-the-hat. In actuality, the entire movie's about cars.
If you don't understand that I don't give a cr@p, then you must be the type that thinks people are impressed by your grasp of religious philosophy. (I would call him an agnostic atheist, since we must be bloody precise on a blog with a jokey soundbite)
What is your point? That someone who doesn't understand exactly what Bill Maher believes is the equivalent of someone who wants everybody who doesn't believe what they believe dead? I would say your strict definition here might qualify you as a sort of fundamentalist. Relax. Laugh a little.
Atheist means non-believer. Agnostics claim they don't know. Knowledge and belief are two different things. It's possible to be both unknowing and unbelieving at the same time. Your tired "fundamentalist atheist" argument is worn out and bogus. Just what are atheists fundamentalist about?
Most atheists are actually agnostics because nobody would reject the idea of a God existing, just the practice of worshiping one, when it's impossible to define what God is and nobody has actually seen one. How can you reject something that has never existed, has never been seen, but has been used for evil?
Hmm. Maybe that is a good reason to reject God. God has been used by man to foment evil upon other men.
That's not true. Most described atheists such as Richard Dawkins always point out that they are agnostic to some part... because we truly cannot know.
And generally no, atheists are not as bad as religious fundamentalists, because there is no unifying set of things to believe in and promote for everyone to follow.

PT Cruiser. Stands for Past Thirty.
Gee, he's right. I haven't had much action since I bought my PT three years ago!!!
Oh, I'm married, never mind.

OK, maybe it proves a point, but I think the PT Cruiser is really cool.

Ever notice how the guys driving a PT Cruiser invariable have a Hawaiian shirt on?

The only people I know who own PT Cruisers are women over 50. I thought it was the "cool" minivan for "hip" grandmothers.
That is true. P.T. Cruiser = Chick repellent. I guess it was a guy thing.
what about the Chevy HHR? so original.
Holy crap check this out!!!

New rule:No more new rules. This routine worn out and became lame a long time ago.
Amusing, but the rule itself is very, very true.
Love ya, Bill! Atheists unite!

Muslims and Christians do it all the time.
