Mr. Maher
Enjoyed your new documentary, "Religulous". Though it will of course be offensive to some for it was blunt to the point of bordering on insulting.
I have my own cosmic perspective so have not in any way found it offensive but enlighting.
You revealed much tragedy throughout mainstream America which I saw was simply sad though they needed what they have found for themselves which helps protect them from their nightmares and their unanswerable questions.
They do not have the ability to grow up so to say as some are born with only one leg or one arm they are cripples.. They are unable to think through so they have faith which helps them with their griefs.

I have seen this film twice (at the local theatre and at home). Excellent film that should be seen by all. Was kind of censored in Southern theatres and religious areas of the country as there should be no other information to look at or hear save absolute religious belief. Mahr is a genius in putting this together. It is not a film that will make you anti religious, it will just make you think; I know that in today's America that is a lot to request of people. See it for any intellectual development that you may aspire to achieve. Thanks Bill Mahr for a thoughtful and funny documentary about religion in America today. 5 stars.

Keep in mind you have to be intelligent to understand Bill Maher and his comedy. I LOVE HIM! Love Real time, love Religulous, love his book (read it in one sitting it was so good) and love the live show! I just saw his live performance a couple weeks ago in Vancouver and it was sooooo good! Keep up the great work Bill!

I'm guessing Borat funny as in sophomoric, slapstick-ish humor as opposed to the more sublime, intellectual humor Bill Maher presents. There is room in this world for both. Sometimes I just want a laugh at any expense, and sometimes I want something more thought-provoking. Bill Maher is a genius! I was wishing Religulous was longer as it ended.

Smart, very smart can be said of Bill Maher. He pitches his movie at the academy awards, gets criticized. His scruntiny over establishments that are plastered on current events brings more scrutiny on him. What makes him smart is that his sarcastic cynicism brings more viewers and public attention. He drives traffic towards anything he influences. He's the one with the last laugh. Especially to the bank

Used to be excellant. Last week's show with the annoying Mos Def and the two-panelist format was a work out for the fast forward on my DVR. I'm just not ready to forgive you yet Bill.

I also wrote a review of your movie "religulous" - its posted on the dailykos. I personally hated it, I guess it was a mocumentary..but it was hardly funny and wasnt much of a documentary. I thought that guy who ran the church and was (formerly) gay...mmmm..was an interesting character and he actually scared the crap out of me. Remember how he wanted to hug you? I love your show though and have been watching since "politically incorrect". Keep up the good work, but dont make any more movies..thank you!! lol
Pollitikat: Bill, love your show...you can check me out at www.thepollitikat.com

Maher is funny and thought-provoking, though.
And Maher is freaking genius.
