If there's any doubt change is in the wings...You should have been with me yesterday morning.
When I had the great honor of speaking to the 53 newly-elected Members of the House of Representatives.
And there, in one room, were all the good people we've been rooting for:
From Florida, Tim Mahoney - who replaces Mark Foley.
From Pennsylvania, Joe Sestak - who trounced Curt Weldon.
From Ohio, Zack Space - who takes the place of Bob Ney.
From Texas, Nick Lampson - who fills Tom Delay's old seat.
From Minnesota, Keith Ellison - the first Muslim ever elected to Congress.
From North Carolina, former NFL quarterback Heath Shuler - now a big political star.
And many, many more.
It was like one big party, and I was proud to be part of it.
Looking out over that audience reminded me that politics is important - and that campaigns do, indeed, make a difference.
All that hard work - all those phone calls, knocking on doors, talking to friends and neighbors - does pay off.
On November 7, Americans voted for change.
And, after seeing the enthusiasm and energy of those new members of Congress, I know - we're going to get it!
