War on Christians???

There's no war on Christians. Just the paranoia of a small band of right-wing Christians who are not happy unless they believe someone is nailing them to the cross.

If you believe religious extremists, the War on Christmas isn't over. It's just gotten worse.

Now, instead of just the War on Christmas -- there's a War on Christians. That's the claim of a group right-wingers, meeting in Washington this week.

A War on Christians? Jesus Christ! Give me a freakin' break!

How can there be a war on Christians...

  • When 85 percent of Americans identify themselves as Christians?
  • When there's a born-again Christian in the White House?
  • When the Republican Party is controlled by the Christian religious right?
  • Or when the White House is handing out millions of dollars every year to Christian, faith-based, charities?

Get serious. Christians aren't under attack in this country. Christians rule. But that's not enough for these Christian extremists. They won't be happy until...

  • Prayer is forced back into our schools
  • Along with the Bible
  • And the United States is officially declared a Christian nation.

Make no mistake about it, these Christian extremists don't want freedom of religion. They're not satisfied with 85 percent. They demand 100 percent. They won't be happy until, by law, everybody else -- Jews, Muslims, Buddhists, Hindus, or atheists -- are forced to become Christians.

And when that happens, we will no longer be a democracy. We will be a theocracy. Just like Iran. Same degree of tyranny, just a different religion.

A war on Christians? Nonsense.

There's no war on Christians. Just the paranoia of a small band of right-wing Christians with a crucifixion complex. They're not happy unless they believe someone is nailing them to the cross.
