Hollywood Idiots Blast Back

Sir Sean Connery wasas telling the New Zealand Herald that he’s “fed up with the idiots” and said there was an “ever-widening gap between people who know how to make movies and the people who green-light the movies.” “We may be idiots,” a spokesman for the group told a reporter, “and we may live in Hollywood, so I guess on some level that makes us quote-unquote Hollywood idiots. But for Mr. Connery to blame us for bombs like “Stealth” or “Chronicles of Riddick” is simply recreational.” The spokesperson, who couldn’t remember his name, his age or what his group was called, then asked a reporter if he had used the word “recreational” correctly. He was informed that he had not.

Hollywood, CA – A group of Hollywood idiots directed their anger at Sir Sean Connery on Monday, after the Scottish actor best known for his role as 007 agent James Bond told a New Zealand newspaper that he held them personally responsible for the recent crop of bad movies to come out of Tinsel Town.

As reported by the Evening Standard under the headline “Sean Blasts Hollywood Idiots,” 74-year-old Sir Sean was quoted as telling the New Zealand Herald that he’s “fed up with the idiots” and said there was an “ever-widening gap between people who know how to make movies and the people who green-light the movies.”

“I don't say they're all idiots,” Sir Sean added. ”I'm just saying there's a lot of them that are very good at it [being idiots]."

“We may be idiots,” a spokesman for the group told a reporter, “and we may live in Hollywood, so I guess on some level that makes us quote-unquote Hollywood idiots. But for Mr. Connery to blame us for bombs like “Stealth” or “Chronicles of Riddick” is simply recreational.” The spokesperson, who couldn’t remember his name, his age or what his group was called, then asked a reporter if he had used the word “recreational” correctly. He was informed that he had not.

“Hollywood executives aren’t idiots,” he later commented. “They’re, like, a race of super-idiots. We may have trouble tying our shoes or remembering to breathe but they’re the ones who pay Vin Diesel $11 million a movie. So who’s the idiot and who’s the super-idiot?”

The spokesperson then waited for a response, not realizing that he’d asked a rhetorical question.

Sir Sean could not be reached for comment.
