The designer Simon Spurr, who launched a jeans line called SPURR in 2006 and a full fashion label under his own name in 2009, has won several fashion and awards and most recently was nominated for CFDA's Swarovski Menswear Designer title. Simon's clothes are distinct from others in the market because his aesthetic is very clean and architectural, and as he himself describes, "they have a European slant." Before launching his own label, he worked at Yves Saint Laurent with Hedi Slimane, Calvin Klein and Ralph Lauren.

Here, Simon talks about the importance of manners, what he wants his legacy to be and how men should never cheat on their women.

When I wake up... I walk the dog.
Before I go to bed... I have a cup of tea.
A well-dressed man... should have manners to complement the way he is dressed.
Women should always... love their man (Jim Morrison).
Men should never... cheat on their women.
The best thing that's been said about me... is that I'm getting visually younger each year.
The biggest misconception about me... is that I'm American. I'm British.
If I weren't doing what I'm doing today... I would be doing it tomorrow.
My legacy... will be determined by how well I raise my children.
A great idea... is not always the biggest idea.
Botox is... simply wrong.
My mother... loves me, my brother and my father dearly.
The soundtrack of my life... hasn't been written yet.
The future... is uncertain but it is what you make of it.
Happiness... focusing on what you have and not what you don't have.
There's a time and place for... laughing. Any time and any place.
There is too much... reality TV.
In the end... I feel secure, loved and am lucky to have the most amazing friends in the world.
