Credited for reviving the house of Roger Vivier, (the inventor of the stiletto heel), Bruno Frisoni can be held responsible for making women trade in their husbands for a pair of his dramatic and widely fantastical shoes. His oeuvre (they merit the term because they are works of art) for Roger Vivier are the height of glamor and artistry like the pair of heels that looked like they were made entirely of feathers featured in the first Sex and the City movie or the stiletto heel that resembles a rose stem with thorns. How can you not create fabulous pieces when you have Ines de la Fressange as brand ambassador and unofficial muse? Roger Vivier fans include Carla Bruni, Catherine Deneuve, Sarah Jessica Parker and Gwen Stefani among many other incredibly stylish women.

Bruno Frisoni also has his eponymous shoe label, which he describes as edgier and sexier, an outlet that affords him to let his imagination run wild.

Here, the shoe genius fills in the blanks on being well-dressed, his nighttime ritual and things that we have too much of.

When I wake up...

already?! Quick a glass of water!

Before I go to bed...
I look at art books while listening to music, or a last drink with friends

A well-dressed woman...
is effortless and in communion with herself

Men should never...
wear white socks

The best thing that has been said about me...
I'm fun

The biggest misconception about me...
that I am a shoe designer

If I were not doing what I am doing today...
I would be doing something similar, related to design or art of some sort, maybe an illustrator or a cartoonist

My legacy...
is something between fun, humor and chic sense of style

A great idea...
is something that is simple yet surprising and so good that it stays long enough to become a classic.

Botox is...
aging!

My mother...
was a great cook and a lovely looking woman. She was very feminine, simple but with a great sense of style. The typical '50s Italian great look, like Sophia Loren.

The soundtrack of my life...
Classic music, electronic and Lucio Battisti, a favorite.

The future is...
Shorter and shorter, that's why I live every day with great pleasure, full of appetite and I never think of tomorrow. Every day is a gift.

Happiness...
you have to work at it, it does not come by itself.

There is a place and a time for...
friends, love, and everybody you care about.

There is too much...
hate, war, politics, idiots, poverty, and fashion!

In the end...
everything has to be lived. C'est la vie... and I'll say thanks... I cannot complain!
