Suzanne Sharp, the founder and creative director of The Rug Company recently launched three new geometric rug designs. She's named them Cora, Romy and Calypso (pictured below) and they possess that unmistakable subtlety -- yet statement-quality -- that pieces from The Rug Company are known for worldwide. The rugs are handmade in Nepal using only the finest Tibetan wools.

Below, Suzanne Sharp talks about her way with colors, making your own rules and how the best ideas are usually from minute details.

When I wake up... I usually go back to sleep.

Before I go to bed... I kiss my husband good night.

A well-dressed man/woman... write their own rules.

Women should always... have clean hair.

Men should never... wear white socks.

The best thing that's been said about me... "she's great with color."

The biggest misconception about me... I have no idea!

If I weren't doing what I'm doing today... I'd be a photographer.

My legacy... are my four amazing children.

A great idea... is born from the tiniest detail.

Botox is... not for the faint hearted.

My mother... was beautiful and feisty.

The soundtrack of my life... The Songs of Leonard Cohen, Lena Mandotter.

The future... is digital.

Happiness... is a beach that stretches out of sight, an ocean to ourselves.

There's a time and place for... closing your eyes.

There is too much... back tracking.

In the end... the best things in life just happened.
