Tracy Reese is a very busy woman. Each season, including holiday and resort, she has to design several collections for her three clothing lines: Tracy Reese (feminine with uptown polish), Plenty by Tracy Reese (bohemian and eclectic), and Frock! (day-to-evening dresses). Reese is a true success story and she a business model that many designers want to emulate. She is a graduate of Parsons and she launched her eponymous clothing line in 1998 following stints with Martine Sitbon and Perry Ellis.

Here, the fashion designer talks about politeness, great ideas and being well-dressed.

When I wake up... I read my "Daily Word."

Before I go to bed... I take my vitamins.

A well-dressed man/woman... isn't afraid to express their personal style.

Women should always... be polite.

Men should never... forget to walk on the curb side of the street when walking with a woman.

The best thing that's been said about me... is that my work inspires someone.

If I weren't doing what I'm doing today... I would be an architect or interior designer.

A great idea... usually comes in the middle of the night.

Botox is... a neurotoxin.

My mother... is always with me.

The future... is what you make it.

Happiness... is a choice.

There's a time and place for... everything.

There is too much... stuff.

In the end... I will know I did my best.
