In the video below, my boyfriend and I conduct a very "scientific" experiment to explore the possibility of an individual being able to be both trans* and non-straight. There is a perception in some circles that all trans* people are straight. I suppose it has to do with holding onto the gender binary and heteronormativity. If I may update Karl Marx's quote with something a little more queer: "Genders of the world, unite! You only have the binary to lose." As you will see in this video, both my boyfriend and I answer the age-old question: is it possible to be trans* and non-straight?
