The temperature rose to 60 degrees late yesterday afternoon so on my way home I took an express bus to Belmont Harbor and had a five minute diversion to contemplate the quiet beauty of this little marina before it gets populated in a few weeks by the boaters. This is just five minutes walk from home and this was a perfect end to my day!
It has been a hassle all week and we have a late afternoon finance meeting today. But before that I will be at the student matinee of the Lyric's L'elisir d'amore which is cast exclusively I believe from the excellent group of singers at the Ryan Center. So it should be a classy show.
Also today was a 10 a.m. press announcement at Symphony Center about a city wide Russian festival all next year. We are part of it with Moskva Cheryomushki. There will certainly be lots more Shosty. More about that later today. If I have time that is - I will be at the CSO tonight for Schubert, Copland and Golijov......
