Alberto at Home

2007-09-18-AlbertoQuestionMark.PNG

As Washington begins a new round of chatter about the President's nomination of Michael Mukasey for Attorney General, former A.G. Alberto Gonzales is now officially a private citizen. Although he has yet to give a public explanation for his resignation, like most prematurely departing officials, Gonzales has expressed an interest in spending quality time with his family. Easier said than done. (Click the play button below to hear why...if it doesn't work, click here.)

Anybody that decides to work for Bush must be mentally impaired. Sorry, but the whole lot of them--Fleisher, Chertoff, Condi--need to check in with a psychiatrist.

He (Alberto)said that his father's best day was worse that (his) Alberto's worst day. He must have had a very unhappy father. Maybe the days ahead for Alberto will not be happier that his father's if he is held accountable. When Alberto wanted John Ashcroft to sign off on the NSA program, he was willing to push him to the point of "organ failure" but for the intervention of the head of the FBI. That makes Alberto happy.

He wasn't the brightest bulb in Dubya's administration but my money is on him playing dumb to avoid more serious consequences. He didn't dodge all bullets but he stayed out of jail or impeachment.

It's not completely his fault. He shouldn't have been nominated and the Senate shouldn't have approved him.

I agree with you.

The audio is funny, though.

Amusing as it is it reallly is sad. When your a person in that kind of position, everything you decide should be documented. Not being able to recalll informaton that regards the well being of a country means your not suited for that position. End of story

Disgusted is right - The man is clearly impaired.

The wife and kids will probably have to wear name badges for the first six months. Every room will have to be labeled so he won't get confused and poop where he's supposed to eat.

Do you think he will even be able to recall how to get home to his family?

Is chewing bubble gum and walking hard?
