As the Boston Red Sox and Colorado Rockies continue their 2007 World Series face-off, sportswriters have been taking note of one unique aspect of this year's Fall Classic: religion. Last year, USA Today reported that the Rockies roster had been built according to a "Christian-based code of conduct"; and while members of the Rockies front office say that was an exaggeration, according to The New York Times, team members do regularly attend chapel and Bible studies together. This could make for a very busy weekend for You-Know-Who.

If God can't help those God-fearing Rockies beat the team from the state where Satan is obviously the senator why would He do any better against those badass jihadists? Has Notre Dame won any games lately? Is God moving in mysterious ways again?

What is wrong with the religious right?

Why can they not be like the religious religionless who want to just live their life like there was no responsibility?

Colorado Springs doesn't represent all of Colorado.
But it's a damn good marketing angle to court the far rightwing, convservative megachurch contingency into buying season tickets for a team that is Christian and saved, just like them.
I don't particularly care what an athlete believes (though I'm pretty sure, Jesus has bigger things to address than whether the ball makes it over the wall, a curveball strikes the batter out or the Colorado team wins the series -- honestly, is this what he's concentrating his efforts on?)
And for the record, if you are not saved, you are not lost! "Religous religionless" don't live their live like there was no responsibility -- what a load of empty babble, talking points, regugitated dogma hiding contempt and prejudice against those who would choose to believe other than you or are born into another religion. Jesus didn't preach the US or THEM mentality.
