Right now, I can't get married. For legal reasons and also deeply personal reasons involving intimacy and mature issues. But on the legal front, things have been looking better.

Last week, President Obama declared the Defense of Marriage Act, a federal law that protects traditional marriage, unconstitutional. And this week, I'm defending President Obama for not defending the Defense of Marriage Act. Sounds confusing, yes, but not nearly as baffling as the vitriol that Obama's decision has unleashed among opponents of gay marriage. Watch as I'm buffeted by the ill winds blown by the likes of Newt Gingrich, Mike Huckabee and Monica Crowley. It's what's known in the weather biz as "a shi*storm."
