In my ongoing quest for success I have come upon so many supposed keys to living successfully. Managing your money, working long hard hours, being particular about the work you choose to take on, just to name a few. Granted, all of these avenues will help lead you to success. However, the holy grail, in my opinion, is loving what you do with a passion.

If it weren't for my passion towards writing, I would have no interest in the business. I will admit that I have never been one to be technologically savvy. I deplored social media, detested internet research, and dutifully avoided managing my personal computer.

Due to my love and desire for the written word, I decided that I could manage the business end of my trade if it meant getting to do what I love for a living. I found the confidence I needed to succeed in the simple fact that I am doing what I enjoy and that means I will do anything to continue doing it.

So many people loathe their occupation which makes each day a struggle. Waking up becomes a hassle, your work becomes lackadaisical, your joy is gets stifled, and your confidence gets smothered. When you are able to do what you have a passion for though, each day is truly a fun opportunity. Adversity becomes a challenge faced with excitement, work is given your best effort each day, and the happiness your find in your craft gives you confidence you never knew was possible.

I used to fear the idea of marketing, and finding clients, or working on with technology all day, but when I finally chose to dig in my heels and pursue my passion, all of those nuisances became the joy of my job. I began valuing my work and myself more. I looked at challenges optimistically. I grew, and it wasn't as painful as I had cheated myself into believing it would be.

Success doesn't just mean money, fame, or power. It means being happy and enjoying the life you lead. By quieting my inner blabbermouth, shaking the fear from my heart, and stepping both feet forward off the high dive, I allowed myself to finally take a step towards my dream, my success story. Now my life is more fulfilling, I am happier, healthier, and I view myself as the most successful person I know. I challenge you to take your passion by the reigns and be the master of your own success.
