Who says there is no European scene in L.A.? The truth is more Europeans than ever are passing through town for fun, work and parties. British ex-pats like Liberty Ross & Rupert Sanders live together in the Hollywood Hills, Dasha Zhukova and the Scarry sisters (Olympia in particular) have come through town several times this year for the MOCA and Calvin Klien parties, and others like Andreas Casiraghi come through just for a little "R & R".

Antonia von Salm, granddaughter of the style icon Millicent Rogers, (John Gallinao said her eternal style was the inspiration for his Spring 2010 show) is another New York-German arrival to L.A. The multi-media artist and style icon in her own right was recently commissioned by the Palihouse in West Hollywood to turn the roof top into an exciting experience for hotel guests and visitors.

Kazu Namise (Marymount High alum), Communications Director for the Palihouse, and mon amie, was excited to work with Antonia to transform the Palihouse's lovely rooftop in to a "Gypsetter's Midsummer Dream."

The term "Gypset" refers to the global jet-set community who have a penchant for the looser and more carefree aspects of life, coined by author Julia Chaplin in her novel "Gypset Style" published by Assouline last year (2009).

Lord Frederick Windsor & his wife Sophie Winkleman were there along with Jill & Eduardo de la Renta (nephew to Oscar de la Renta) and their new little girl Ava de la Renta taking her first steps on the Palihouse rooftop.

Singers Donovan Leitch (son of 70s icon Donovan and a regular guest DJ at the Palihouse) and Alex Eden (married to Gary Oldman) collaborated to performed some familiar duets.

Donovan's wife, former 90s model Kirsty Hume was also in attendance along with Amanda Braun, director Whitney Sudler-Smith (who brought documentary Ultrasuede: In Search of Halson to Tribecca this year), Tamsin Lonsdale, actress-model Isabella Miko, photographer Deborah Anderson, producer Cary Woods (Swingers, KIDS, Beautiful Girls), Timothy Vreeland (son of style/fashion icon Diana Vreeland) and producer Orian Williams.
